The first folio print is an iconic Tim and Crunchy illustration. The second, is a battle scene from the archives featuring General Graador. WHY AM I NOT GETTING FREE SHIPPING WHEN MY BASKET IS OVER £80/$100/90 Euros. See description below and banner on the site – books are excluded from the free shipping offer. They are heavy, cost a lot to ship and will be split shipped from the rest of your order.
WHY IS THE DELUXE EDITION PRICED SO MUCH HIGHER THAN THE STANDARD? This is not just because there are more elements to the product (ie a card slipcase, hard backed portfolio with 2 art prints and embellishments like gilded page edges, foil print details and special textured paper on the cover etc) but also due to the relative sizes of the print runs. Dark Horse will make enough stock of the standard edition to distribute this to retailers globally. The deluxe edition will have a much more limited print run. The set up costs for the additional items and the lower production run means the deluxe edition just costs exponentially more to produce per unit. The deluxe edition is intended as a limited run collector piece for those who prefer this over the standard edition.
WHY ARE SHIPPPING COSTS SO HIGH OUTSIDE THE UK? This is a large format, hardcover book that will be packed in a protective card mailer and then a jiffy bag (total weight c 3kg). This size and the fact that it is a high ticket item means it will be shipped internationally by a courier rather than our usual tracked postal service – in most instances that is a 1+ day service which means it will likely take a max of a week or so. Shipping via this method to EU and ROW incl. Australia from our UK warehouse is unfortunately just expensive. The past year has seen increases in shipping costs due to BREXIT/COVID that are outside of our control. If the country you live in has high shipping costs for the deluxe edition, then Dark Horse will be distributing the standard edition globally so you should be able to order this locally instead with much lower shipping costs over coming weeks.
THE MERCH STORE DOES NOT SHIP TO MY COUNTRY? Unfortunately that means you wont be able to order the deluxe edition as it is only available from the RuneScape merch store but it is highly likely that Dark Horse will be distributing the standard edition into bookstores in your country so keep checking for local listings over the coming weeks/months.
